Prospects are people or websites that you reach out to in one of your campaigns. In some cases, your prospect could be just a website address and a contact form, but typically it is a contact with an email address.

That is why prospects are split up into contacts/websites.

Contact - Each contact entry consists of a few standard fields including first name, last name, and email address, and it may or may not be associated with a website.

Website - A website can have no contacts, one contact, or several contacts. When you don't have a contact for the website you can find a generic email address, or contact companies through the contact form on their website.

When you're adding people to reach out to, you can add them directly to the contacts/website area or you can add them through the campaign wizard.

There is also an option to quick-edit a contact by double-clicking on it. A quick edit popup will appear allowing you to edit contact details.

When you add people/websites through the prospect table, you may want to group some of them together so that you can reach out to them later. That is why we introduced the Groups functionality. You add a group of websites and/or contacts to the group and, within the campaign wizard, you can select this as the group you want to reach out to.

By having a database of prospects we can track all activity related to these prospects for any campaign. This means that, over time, you'll build up some valuable insight about which prospects have worked for you before and which haven't.
